| Brake acting on a pendulum |
|
What to do:
load the example file, press the play button on the animation timeline and watch. After the simulation (or even during the animation is still playing) you can open the property window of the Brake object and modify the braking torque in the 'Spec','Custom' tab. |
This example shows the behaviour of the "brake" link, that is a constraint which applies a braking torque to a revolute joint.
Performing the animation, you will see that a rotating motor with a small rod will push and pull a long rod with a connecting spring. The long rod is braked, so its motion is irregular, and sometimes it 'sticks', since the brake link simulates stick-slip phenomena too.
