Apply Boolean AND NOT operation between the selected object, i.e. the first selected object AND NOT the remaining selected objects. The resulting object contains those parts of space that are inside the first selected object but not inside any of the other selected objects. The Remove tool has the following options:

Ignore Materials - If set, the material of the first selected object is not affected by the tool object.
Cut Wire - If set, wireframes of boolean operands are trimmed to match the result volume.
